Palais Royale in Worli, Mumbai is the tallest under construction residential tower in India. Having structurally topped out at a height of above 300m, it stands as Mumbai's and India's tallest structure - surpassing Mumbai TV Tower which is 300m high.
When construction began in 2008, Palais Royale was expected to be the India’s first super tall building.
This required a wider spacing of columns in the lower floors and the use of an extensive load transfer, in which the reinforced concrete beams are up to 9 meters deep, the deepest girder constructed in the world. Construction also broke a record for the largest single day concrete pour in the history of Mumbai.
